There’s something about Miko. She perturbs men, hooks them, makes them want to hurt her just a little, or maybe more than a little. In PD, you feel danger, you feel frenzy, something reckless. Maybe it’s her silence, and how she waits. With Cyd, it’s in the way he ties the ropes. As though he’s been eaten alive by this monster named Miko. Or maybe none of that. Maybe it’s only rape.
